Iced Tea and Lemonade with Mint

I have discovered the most refreshing drink of summer! Iced tea and lemonade (aka, the Arnold Palmer), with mint! Seriously, this is the best thirst quencher of the summer! I'm not huge fan of tea, and I think a whole glass of just lemonade gets a bit too sugary (I'm don't like to drink my sugar), but the combination of the two is so refreshing and amazing - jut the right amount of sweet with the thirst-quenching properties of iced tea! Recipe below:

Ingredients

For the tea:

  • 4 tea bags (or about 4 tsps of loose tea leaves) of black tea
  • 4 cups cold water

For the lemonade:

  • 10 lemons, juiced
  • 4 cups water
  • 1 cup sugar

Additional ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup to 1/2 cup fresh mint leaves
  • Ice for serving

Recipe

  1. Allow tea to brew in cold water in the fridge for 6-8 hours. Strain out tea leaves.
  2. In a separate pitcher, combine the juice of 10 lemons, 4 cups water, and 1 cup sugar.
  3. Chill both pitchers until cold.
  4. Chop mint leaves in a blender when ready to serve.
  5. In a cup, add ½ amount of tea to ½ amount of lemonade. Stir in mint leaves and serve over ice. Garnish with whole mint leaves.
