Fuzzy Heart Wreath

I love this trend of soft textures right now! I was inspired by other crocheted wreaths I saw made of the chunky yarn so I decided to make one of my own. I have never actually crocheted before, so I decided to do something so much easier - I wove the yarn instead! It was so easy, and only took me about an hour while watching a show on Netflix.

Make your own! See instructions below:

Materials

About half a skein of chunky yarn, cut into 3-foot pieces

Wire wreath form

Scissors

Method

  1. Begin with your first piece of yarn, tying one end to the wire frame.
  2. Weave the yarn through the wire, being sure to pull the yarn all the way through and scrunching each row to ensure that there are not gaps. Repeat until the piece of yarn has only a few inches left, enough to tie off the piece of yarn on the frame.
  3. Repeat until the entire frame is filled. Fill in gaps with smaller amounts of yarn.
  4. Cut off yarn hanging off from the knots.

That's it! If you want to decorate it farther, you could add pom-poms, ribbon, or other embellishments.
